Technical Specifications
Tech Rider: Precision in Sound.
This document outlines the technical requirements for an Indian Classical performance. Please read carefully and confirm setup at least 3 hours before showtime.
Performance Format
- Solo sitar performance or sitar–tabla duet
- Acoustic or lightly amplified depending on venue size
- Seated performance (floor or low riser preferred)
Stage Setup
- Sitarist: Center stage
- Tabla player: Stage right (if applicable)
- Seating: Rug / mat / carpet
Audio Requirements
- 1 high-quality dynamic microphone (Shure SM58 preferred)
- 1 boom mic stand
- 1 additional dynamic mic and boom mic stand for tabla (if duet)
- Clean signal path to FOH or recording interface
- No compression or EQ unless discussed in advance
Lighting
- Warm, natural lighting preferred
- CRI 95+ key light recommended for accurate skin tone and sitar color
- Avoid harsh spotlights or colored gels unless artist-approved
Power & Cabling
- Access to grounded power outlet
- Clear cable routing to avoid trip hazards
Additional Notes
- No drone beds required
- Artist prefers minimal stage clutter and clear sightlines
- Please confirm setup 3 hours before performance
